About This Site

Speaking in public can be a daunting, even frightening experience. So to help you become a better, more relaxed public speaker we have a wide array of articles, eBooks, videos and audio books, all loaded with tips and techniques, and all free.

These span conventional and common sense tips to more unconventional methods, from how to warm up and prepare your mind, to relaxation and breathing techniques. From what to say, how to say it – and what you should certainly not say. Be comforted by the fact that there are many ways to both calm your nerves, and help make your speech or presentation successful.

My own perspective on public speaking is that it’s always an ordeal and so I’ve sought over the years to minimize the pain and anxiety by experimenting with different methods of rehearsal, by recording my own voice on tape, by learning about meditation and various breathing exercises. So on this site there are plenty of my own theories as well as many established and respected public speaking tips and techniques from experts in the field. One thing I strongly believe is that while taking in as much useful information as you can, you must ultimately find what works best for you. Whatever works. So while the expert advice that is spread over articles, ebooks, audio and video are valuable, what works for you might not be what works for someone else. For this reason I have included a feedback section at the bottom of all the article, ebook and video posts, so that you can share your own methods.

For some of you public speaking will be as stressful as it’s always been for me, and for some of you it will be a relatively stress free experience, but one you’d like to hone. I hope that for both types of people there will be tips and advice on this site that will be useful.

I hope you enjoy the site, and that you find the information you’re looking for.
